Direct Spaces Release Notes 1.12

To ensure your users are benefiting from the newest features, enhancements, and fixes, EMS Software recommends that you upgrade to the most current release of your EMS product.

You now need the .NET Framework 4.8 on the application server.

You only need the latest downloads for any component since they are cumulative.

New Features

Our new booking experience is now available to Direct Spaces users with application version 2.6.0 and later:

  • Create a reservation using our simplified workflow.

  • Select a room with our improved filter process.

  • Manage favorites with our enhanced favorites filter.

Enhancements

  • When you create a booking outside of building hours, you can view the building’s hours.

  • In Your upcoming schedule, when you view an existing booking, the reservation ID is included in the reservation header.

  • Floor plans open to full screen automatically when you select the floor plan from the list during a new booking or edit. (Application version 2.6.3)

  • If you tap QR Code > Scan, the camera opens. Direct Spaces must be configured for QR codes. (Application version 2.6.2)

  • Favorites is now a toggle setting within your room selection filters on a new booking or when you edit a booking. (Application version 2.6.2)

  • When you cancel a booking, a confirmation message opens to confirm the cancellation.

  • You can now filter by features when searching for an available space.

Improvements & Issues Fixed

  • When you book a combo room, duplicate bookings no longer appear in Your upcoming schedule. (Hotfix 1.11.1)

  • The Floor plan widget no longer spins during app start up. If you continue to have this problem, delete and then re-add floor plans that had the spinning problem.

  • If the parameter that allows attachments on bookings is set to false, you cannot add attachments when editing a booking.

  • When no default time zone is associated to an everyday user, they will no longer encounter an error when using Scan from QR code, if the environment is configured to use QR codes.

  • Floor plans no longer have indicator pins drifting from their intended location. For best results, we recommend a floor plan image size of 1024x 768 pixels. (Application version 2.6.4)
